"INTRO to VIOLIN" CLASSES

FUN, AFFORDABLE, CONVENIENT, and EFFECTIVE violin group classes!

Welcoming young musicians to weekly 30-minute "Intro to Violin" group classes:

For students AGE 6-9 (Grades 1-3)
WHEN: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, OR Fridays at 4-4:30pm (pick desired day in sign up form below)
WHERE: at our Park Ridge Strings studio (Talcott and Dee Rd., by Maine South HS)
CLASS SIZE: up to 6 students maximum per class, minimum 3 students.
THREE SESSIONS: Sep-Dec (15 weeks $240), Jan-Mar (11 weeks $176), and April-Jun (9 weeks $144).
COST per student: only $16/class, charged PER SESSION. Easy payment by Zelle from your bank app, Cash in iMessage, Venmo, or cash (with receipt). No refunds if withdrawing early. Thank you!
Unlike our 1-on-1 violin lessons, there's no sibling discount for the weekly group classes, since our classes are already at a significantly lower cost per student.
PROVIDED: in our weekly classes, each student gets to use their own rented violin, but the sheet music is included (songs, worksheets, etc.), and a music stand is provided for the class.
Students will LEARN: MOTOR SKILLS (incl. warm-ups) , READING NOTES, RHYTHM PATTERNS, and basic MUSIC THEORY (the building blocks of music) in addition to songs, of course.
Required for HOME PRACTICE: a music stand
Recommended app for note reading: Notes! (note flash cards)
Classes are taught in English.
After attending the "Intro to Violin" classes, students can continue with 1-on-1 lessons
Also available "Intro to Piano" classes on Wednesdays (3-3:30pm and 3:30-4pm)
